Boltzius Award for Dr. Stefanie Ohnesorg
Congratulations to Stefanie Ohnesorg!
Stefanie received the Boltzius Award on November 10, 2013, in Atlanta. The award was presented by German Consul General Christoph Sander.
Named after German pastor Johann Martin Boltzius, the award honors extraordinary citizens in the Southeastern United States for their ongoing commitment to promoting German language and culture.
Boltzius, born 1703 in the German town of Forst, served as senior minister to the Salzburger community at Ebenezer from 1735 to 1765. As a driving force during the formative years of the Georgia colony, he inspired his contemporaries through vision and leadership.
